Acworth, GA – Accident with Injuries Reported on Larry McDonald Memorial Highway near Highway 92

Acworth, GA (February 24, 2023) – Officials across Cobb County were called to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident in Acworth that resulted in injuries.

The accident was reported at around 6:20 p.m. on February 22.

According to Georgia Highway Patrol, two left lanes of travel were blocked on Larry McDonald Memorial Highway in the area just before Highway 92 at Exit 277.

The crash caused delays in the area. Georgia Highway Patrol and firefighters blocked off a portion of the road as they provided assistance.

Paramedics were called to care for the victims who suffered injuries. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further medical care.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
