Acworth, GA – Six-Vehicle Crash on I-75 NB Causes Injuries
Acworth, GA (April 2, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision involving six vehicles caused injuries on I-75 northbound past Highway 92 early Wednesday morning, April 2. According to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), the crash occurred around 6:58 a.m. and involved three passenger vehicles and three tractor-trailers. The Georgia State Patrol confirmed that six individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities reported that the accident unfolded in stages. The initial crash involved three vehicles in the left lane of I-75, bringing traffic to a sudden halt. This abrupt stop led to a secondary crash involving the three tractor-trailers, which collided due to the unexpected slowdown. Debris from the wreckage caused an additional accident, further complicating the scene. Emergency personnel responded swiftly, providing on-site medical attention to the injured before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The Georgia State Patrol is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
