Alachua Co., FL – Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash on I-75

Alachua County, FL (March 29, 2025) – A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries following a crash on I-75 just after midnight on Friday, March 29. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a 19-year-old motorcyclist was traveling northbound when they collided with another vehicle. The impact caused the rider to be thrown from the motorcycle, resulting in significant injuries. Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene and provided immediate assistance before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Authorities temporarily closed a section of I-75 to investigate the cause of the crash and clear the wreckage. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. At this time, it is unclear whether speed or other factors contributed to the collision. The investigation is ongoing as officers work to determine the exact cause of the accident.
