Alachua Co, FL – Two-Car Injury Crash on I-75 S Before MM 403
Alachua Co, FL (April 25, 2025) – A two-car crash injury occurred during the early morning hours of Friday, April 25, on Interstate 75 south before mile marker 403 in Alachua County. The collision, reported initially at 12:48 a.m. and updated at 1:07 a.m., blocked the right lane and caused significant traffic delays as emergency crews worked to assist the victims and clear the scene.
Authorities indicated that two vehicles collided in the right lane under circumstances that are still under investigation. Alachua County Fire Rescue, Road Rangers, and additional emergency responders were dispatched to the crash site. Firefighters had to perform an extraction to remove at least one trapped occupant from one of the damaged vehicles. Paramedics treated multiple injured individuals at the scene and transported at least one person to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Reports also indicated that another victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The crash caused heavy traffic congestion as law enforcement officers directed vehicles away from the blocked right lane. Drivers were urged to slow down and move over to allow responders to safely manage the situation. Cleanup and investigation efforts extended into the early morning hours before all lanes were reopened.
