Alachua County, FL – Injury Accident Reported on I-75 near MM 391

Alachua County, FL (February 1, 2023) – Authorities out of Alachua County responded to the scene of a traffic crash that took place on Tuesday evening that sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries.

On January 31, troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol were notified that a traffic accident had occurred on Interstate 75.

At around 4:55 p.m., a collision between vehicles blocked the right lane of travel on the southbound side of Interstate 75. Authorities responded to the scene of the accident and closed off the roadway near mile marker 391.

Emergency crews went to work quickly on securing the area and clearing the scene.

At least one person suffered injuries due to this traffic accident and had to be transported to a local hospital.

The circumstances surrounding the traffic accident are currently being investigated.
