Alachua County, FL – Two Injured in Rollover Crash on I-75 near MM 378

Alachua County, FL (January 18, 2023) – A traffic accident occurred on Friday morning in Alachua County that left two drivers injured. On January 13, the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Interstate 75.

According to reports, at around 8:15 a.m., a collision between a 2013 Kia Sorrento into a  2019 Isuzu truck took place on the north side of Interstate 75 near mile marker 378.

The impact of the vehicle collisions on both vehicles off the roadway. Both vehicles overturned multiple times before coming to rest in a wooded area near the road.

A 32-year-old man who was driving the truck was ejected from his vehicle. The driver of the Kia, a 79-year-old woman, was injured in the accident. Both victims were transported to the University of Florida Health Shards Hospital for emergency care.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
