Alachua, FL –Road Ranger Truck & Semi Crash on I-75, Injuries
Alachua, FL (January 18, 2025) – A semi-truck and a Road Ranger vehicle were involved in a fiery collision early Saturday, January 18, near mile marker 398 on Interstate 75. The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m., prompting a swift response from Alachua County Fire Rescue (ACFR). Four ACFR units arrived to extinguish the fire and assess the situation. Despite the intensity of the collision and subsequent fire, only non-life-threatening injuries were reported. Authorities confirmed that no one required transportation to a hospital for further treatment. I-75 remained closed for several hours as emergency crews worked tirelessly to clear the wreckage and ensure the area’s safety. Investigators are still determining the events leading up to the crash.
