Atlanta, GA – Accident with Injuries Reported on I-75 near Highway 166

Atlanta, GA (March 9, 2023) – An automobile accident was reported in Georgia on Tuesday morning, March 7, that sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries.

According to official reports, at around 7:50 a.m., vehicles collided on the right side of Interstate 75. Authorities responded to the scene and blocked off the right lane of travel on the southbound side of the roadway. Two vehicles were involved in the accident, both coming to rest on the shoulder near the exit ramp for Highway 166.

Police and firefighters responded to the scene and went to work immediately to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the road.

Emergency crews rendered aid to the injured victims while on site before transporting those who required further care to area hospitals.

At this time, investigations surrounding the cause of the crash are underway.
