Atlanta, GA – Driver Injured in Crash on NB I-75 at Jonesboro Rd
Atlanta, GA (April 14, 2025) – A crash occurred on April 14 on northbound Interstate 75 approaching Jonesboro Road (Exit 221) in Henry County, blocking the right shoulder and causing significant traffic delays. The incident was reported at approximately 10:56 a.m., and authorities responded quickly to manage the scene.
Initial reports from the Georgia State Patrol indicate that the crash involved a single vehicle that ended up on the right shoulder of the highway. The vehicle sustained significant damage, and it is believed the driver may have lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the road.
Emergency medical personnel from Henry County responded to the scene, treating one individual for minor injuries. The driver, a 34-year-old male, complained of neck pain and bruising to his left arm. He was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. While his injuries are not life-threatening, they were reported as moderate, and he is expected to recover with treatment.
Firefighters helped secure the crash site, while police officers worked to direct traffic away from the blocked shoulder. Tow trucks were called to remove the damaged vehicle, and the crash site was cleared by 12:00 p.m., allowing traffic to return to normal flow. Although the incident caused delays, authorities managed to minimize the disruption to drivers.
