Atlanta, GA – Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on I-75 Near Cleveland Ave

Atlanta, GA (March 10, 2025) – A tragic collision on Interstate 75 southbound near Cleveland Avenue on Monday morning, March 10, resulted in the death of one driver, according to local authorities. The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. when a Chevrolet Malibu was merging onto I-75 southbound from Cleveland Avenue. Investigators determined that the driver of the Malibu was traveling under wet road conditions, causing the vehicle to lose control and spin across the entrance ramp, crashing into the fifth lane of the highway. At that moment, a Chevrolet Silverado traveling south in the same lane collided with the Malibu’s left side.

The impact was severe, and emergency responders from the Atlanta Police Department arrived to assess the situation. Sadly, the driver of the Malibu was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased, pending notification of next of kin. Investigators are still examining the circumstances surrounding the crash. Traffic in the area was heavily impacted as crews worked to clear the scene. Officials urge drivers to remain cautious, especially in wet road conditions.
