Atlanta, GA – GHP Responds to Crash with Injuries on I-75 near I-85

Atlanta, GA (December 29, 2022) – Emergency officials were notified that a traffic crash took place in downtown Atlanta that required emergency attention. Calls for help came in just before 11:30 a.m. on December 28.

According to reports provided by Georgia Highway Patrol, a traffic wreck blocked the southbound side of Interstate 75 in the area near the southbound side of Interstate 85. Authorities responded to the scene and immediately closed off multiple lanes in the area as they worked to clear the scene.

Medics responded to the site of the crash to provide care to injured victims. At least one of the parties involved in the accident suffered injuries that required further medical attention. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

Georgia Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
