Atlanta, GA – Injury Crash Blocks 2 Lanes on I-75 N Past W Paces Ferry Rd

Atlanta, GA (April 8, 2025) – A two-car injury crash occurred on Tuesday afternoon, April 8, in Northwest Atlanta, causing significant traffic delays on Interstate 75 northbound. The collision happened just past W Paces Ferry Road (Exit 255) around 4:36 p.m., blocking the two right lanes and backing up traffic during peak rush hour.

According to early reports, emergency responders arrived on the scene shortly after the incident to assess the situation and provide aid to the injured. Paramedics transported at least one person to a nearby hospital. The severity of the injuries has not yet been released.

Firefighters worked quickly to secure the scene and remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway. Officers from the Georgia State Patrol were also on site managing the flow of traffic and beginning their investigation into the cause of the crash. Motorists were advised to expect delays and consider alternate routes as congestion built up behind the blocked lanes.

By early evening, traffic conditions began to improve once the lanes were cleared and the road was deemed safe to reopen.
