Atlanta, GA – Injury Reported in I-75/I-85 SB Crash at 14th St
Atlanta, GA (April 21, 2025) – A crash occurred on April 21 at Interstate 75/I-85 southbound in Midtown Atlanta, blocking the center lane near 14th Street at approximately 8:54 a.m. The collision caused significant traffic delays as emergency crews quickly responded to the scene.
Initial reports indicate that the crash involved at least two vehicles. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the accident, but witnesses suggest one of the vehicles may have lost control, leading to the crash. Emergency medical teams arrived promptly, and though no fatalities were reported, at least one person was injured. The injured party was treated at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation. Their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
The Atlanta Police Department and fire department worked efficiently to clear the wreckage and manage traffic. The center lane was temporarily blocked, causing slowdowns in the area. Crews worked to remove the damaged vehicles, and by 9:30 a.m., the lane had been cleared, allowing traffic to return to normal flow.
