Atlanta, GA – Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle on I-75 near Pryor Rd SW

Atlanta, GA (January 7, 2023) – A male pedestrian was left with fatal injuries following a traffic accident in Atlanta on Saturday morning. On January 7, the Atlanta Police Department and Georgia Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Interstate 75.

According to law enforcement, a 70-year-old man was walking on Interstate 75 at around 6:34 a.m. As he proceeded through the area of Pryor Road Southwest, he was struck by a vehicle, which was traveling south on the road. The vehicle fled the scene of the accident without stopping.

The Atlanta fire and rescue responded to the scene of the accident to provide assistance.

The pedestrian was fatally injured in the crash and pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
