Atlanta, GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-75 SB near Downtown Atlanta Sends 3 People to Hospital

Atlanta, GA (June 29, 2023) – Three individuals were rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital following a multi-vehicle crash in the HOV lane on Interstate 75/85 south, near downtown Atlanta.

The incident, reported by the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), involved several vehicles, including a Hyundai Tucson, a Land Rover, and a Cadillac Escalade towing a boat.

According to GSP, the driver of the Cadillac was tailgating the Land Rover, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles. The impact caused the Cadillac to lose control and veer into the HOV lane, striking the Hyundai.

As a result of the collision, the Hyundai overturned and came to rest uncontrollably on the left shoulder, obstructing the HOV lane. GSP troopers quickly attended to one person who suffered a head injury inside the Hyundai, providing medical aid until other emergency responders arrived at the scene.

The crash led to a blockage of the HOV lane, causing traffic disruption in the area.
