Atlanta, GA – Multiple Hurt in Crash on I-75/85 S Near 17th St
Atlanta, GA (April 8, 2025) – An injury crash occurred early Tuesday morning, April 8, on Interstate 75/85 Southbound just past 17th Street in Midtown Atlanta. The collision resulted in blockages in the left-center lanes and prompted a swift emergency response during peak commute hours.
According to reports from local traffic monitors, multiple vehicles were involved in the crash, and several occupants exited their vehicles in the roadway before authorities arrived—a highly dangerous situation on a busy expressway. Drivers in the area were urged to exercise extreme caution and reduce speed while passing the scene.
Atlanta Fire Rescue and EMS responded promptly, treating at least one person for injuries on-site before transporting them by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The severity of the injuries has not yet been confirmed.
