Atlanta, GA – Multiple Injuries Reported in I-75 Crash near Mt Paran Rd (Exit 256)
Atlanta, GA (January 26, 2023) – A major traffic accident was reported in Atlanta on Wednesday afternoon that left multiple people injured.
At around 3 p.m., on January 25, troopers west of Georgia Highway Patrol out of Atlanta were called to the scene of a traffic collision on Interstate 75.
Crash investigations show that multiple vehicles collided on the interstate just north of Mount Paran Road. Authorities responded to the scene of the accident and blocked off the road near exit 256.
Multiple police cars, Georgia State Highway patrol vehicles, and fire trucks were seen at the scene of the accident, providing assistance.
EMS confirmed that multiple people suffered injuries in the crash. The victims were cared for at the scene and transported to area hospitals.
Emergency crews remained at the scene until nearly 4 p.m. as they worked to clear the road. Several lanes remained closed extensively.
Investigations into the cause of the collision are currently underway.
