Atlanta, GA – One Injured in Crash on I-75 SB Near Windy Hill Rd

Atlanta, GA (April 14, 2025) – A crash occurred on April 14 at southbound Interstate 75, just south of the exit to Windy Hill Road, blocking the right lane and causing significant traffic delays. The incident was reported at approximately 10:53 a.m., prompting a quick response from local authorities.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the crash involved two vehicles. One vehicle reportedly lost control and collided with another, causing significant damage. The right lane was blocked, which led to traffic congestion as law enforcement and emergency responders worked to clear the scene.

Emergency medical personnel arrived quickly and treated the individuals involved in the crash. The driver of one vehicle, a 42-year-old woman, sustained moderate injuries, including whiplash and a possible concussion. She was visibly shaken and was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The driver of the other vehicle, a 56-year-old man, suffered minor injuries, including bruises to his chest from the seatbelt and soreness in his neck, but he declined further medical treatment at the scene. He was assessed by paramedics as a precaution.

Firefighters assisted with clearing debris from the roadway, while tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles. The right lane remained blocked for about an hour before traffic began flowing again. The crash caused significant delays in the area, but the situation improved once the lane was reopened.
