Atlanta, GA – Two-Car Crash with Injuries on I-75/85 NB at 10th St

Atlanta, GA (May 5, 2025) – A two-vehicle injury crash occurred Monday morning, May 5, on northbound Interstate 75/85 just before the 10th Street exit in downtown Atlanta, blocking all lanes for a period and causing major traffic disruption during the morning commute.

According to reports from traffic authorities and local responders, the collision took place at approximately 8:45 a.m. in the center lanes of I-75/85 NB. Emergency crews responded quickly, including units from Atlanta Fire Rescue and Grady EMS. At least one individual sustained injuries and was treated on scene before being transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The extent of injuries has not been officially confirmed, but initial indications suggest they were not life-threatening.

Police shut down all northbound lanes temporarily as first responders worked to secure the scene, assist the injured, and remove the damaged vehicles. Firefighters helped clear debris from the center lanes, while Georgia State Patrol officers began an investigation into the cause of the crash. Traffic was severely backed up for over an hour as cleanup efforts continued and lanes were gradually reopened.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved, and no citations have been issued as the investigation remains ongoing.
