Atlanta, GA – Two Injured in Crash on I-75/85 NB at Peachtree/Pine St (Exit 249B)

Atlanta, GA (April 17, 2025) – A two-car crash injury occurred on Thursday night in the heart of Atlanta along the busy I-75/85 Downtown Connector. The collision took place around 9:56 p.m. in the northbound lanes near Exit 249B at Peachtree St and Pine St, resulting in two people being injured and causing significant traffic disruption.

Authorities say that the crash involved two passenger vehicles that collided under circumstances still being investigated. Atlanta Police and Fire Rescue arrived at the scene within minutes and found both vehicles blocking multiple lanes. Firefighters had to extricate one individual from a badly damaged vehicle, while paramedics provided immediate care at the scene. Two injured occupants were then transported to a nearby hospital. While both were reported as conscious at the time of transport, the extent of their injuries has not been officially released.

Police closed down several lanes as they worked to manage the scene and direct traffic. Drivers were advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes such as Northside Dr or I-285. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
