Bibb Co, GA – Injury Crash Blocks 2 Lanes on I-75 N at Hartley Bridge Rd

Bibb Co, GA (April 8, 2025) – A two-car injury crash occurred on Tuesday morning, April 8, in Bibb County, blocking two right lanes of I-75 Northbound at Hartley Bridge Road (mile marker 155). The crash, which happened before noon, caused significant slowdowns in the area as emergency crews responded to the scene.

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), traffic was diverted as first responders worked to assist the injured and remove vehicles from the roadway. EMS units arrived quickly and transported at least one individual to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation. The extent of the injuries remains undisclosed.

Firefighters from Bibb County Fire Services aided in clearing debris and securing the crash site. Officers with Georgia State Patrol managed the flow of traffic and initiated a preliminary investigation into the cause of the collision.

Drivers in the area were advised to use caution and expect delays, as the estimated time to fully reopen the roadway was 11:45 a.m., according to GDOT. Congestion continued into the early afternoon until the lanes were cleared.
