Birch Run, MI – Crash on I-75/Birch Run Rd Leaves One Dead and several Injured

Birch Run, MI (December 2, 2024) – A devastating three-car crash on southbound I-75 near Birch Run Road claimed the life of a 76-year-old woman and left several others injured late Sunday night, December 1. The incident occurred around 10:20 p.m. when a two-car rollover left one vehicle disabled in the roadway. As troopers from the Michigan State Police Tri-City Post responded to the scene, a third vehicle collided with the disabled car, resulting in the fatal injuries of a Burton resident who was a passenger in the third vehicle. Several other drivers and passengers involved in the crash were transported to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions remain undisclosed. Law enforcement conducted a thorough investigation, and crews worked to clear the wreckage. Multiple local agencies assisted at the scene. This incident remains under investigation by the Michigan State Police.
