Bowling Green, OH – One Killed, Another Injured in Crash on I-75 Exit Ramp
Bowling Green, OH (April 13, 2025) – A tragic crash on Sunday, April 13, claimed the life of a woman and left another person injured following a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Interstate 75 Southbound and U.S. Route 6 in Wood County. According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred when a Jeep Cherokee traveling down the I-75 off-ramp attempted to turn eastbound onto Route 6. The Jeep pulled into the path of a westbound Chevy Traverse, resulting in a severe T-bone collision on the driver’s side. Julia Coon, 67, of Pemberville, a passenger in the Jeep, was transported to a Toledo-area hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. The driver of the Jeep, identified as 19-year-old Devin Coon of Woodville, was also taken to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Chevy Traverse, Justin Fish, 41, of Hoytville, was not seriously hurt.
The Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
