Broward County, FL (August 30, 2025) – A deadly chain-reaction crash on I-75 early Saturday morning, August 30, claimed the life of a 64-year-old Miami man, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Fatal Chain-Reaction Crash on I-75 Near MM 149The crash happened around 1:40 a.m. near mile marker 149 when a truck towing a boat failed to slow down for traffic ahead. At the time, a line-painting vehicle was working on the roadway shoulder, followed closely by another truck for protection. The boat-towing vehicle struck the rear of the trailing truck, which was then forced into the line-painting vehicle. The 64-year-old man, who was driving the middle truck, sustained critical injuries. Emergency crews requested a medical helicopter, and he was airlifted to a nearby hospital. Sadly, despite efforts to save him, he was later pronounced dead. The Florida Highway Patrol has launched a full investigation into the crash and has not yet released the identity of the victim.
