Campbell Co, TN (April 29, 2025) – A two-car crash injury occurred early Tuesday morning, April 29, along the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 at Mile Marker 132.6, just south of the Hwy 116 interchange. The collision caused major traffic delays and prompted a full emergency response shortly after 6:20 a.m.

Authorities with the Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed that two passenger vehicles were involved in the crash. One occupant sustained moderate injuries and was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital for treatment. The individual was conscious but in visible distress at the scene, according to reports from first responders. The second driver was treated on-site for minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.

Fire crews assisted in extricating one of the vehicles, which had sustained front-end damage and partially blocked the left lane. Troopers and deputies worked for several hours to investigate the cause of the accident and clear the wreckage. Southbound traffic was diverted to Hwy 116 during the incident and was fully restored later in the morning.

As of now, the cause of the collision is under active investigation. No citations or arrests have been made, and further details are expected in the coming days.
