Campbell Co, TN – Two Semi Drivers Injured in Crash on I-75 S
Campbell Co, TN (April 30, 2025) – A two-car crash injury occurred early Wednesday morning on the southbound lanes of I-75 in Campbell County, Tennessee, involving two semi trucks and causing a significant traffic backup. The crash happened just before 7:00 a.m., prompting a full-scale emergency response and the temporary closure of multiple lanes as crews worked to clear the scene.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol and local authorities, the two semis collided under circumstances that remain under investigation. The collision caused heavy damage to both vehicles, one of which jackknifed across the roadway, complicating recovery efforts. One of the drivers reportedly sustained injuries to the chest and leg and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The other driver suffered minor head trauma but declined transport.
Emergency medical services, fire rescue units, and state troopers arrived quickly at the site. Firefighters had to extract one of the drivers from the cab of his truck, using specialized equipment to free him safely.
