Catoosa Co., GA – I-75 Semi Crash Traps One, Injuries Reported

Catoosa County, GA (January 4, 2026) – Injuries were reported after a car and tractor-trailer collision shut down part of Interstate 75 northbound on Saturday night, January 3. According to Catoosa County Fire officials, the crash occurred shortly before 9:00 p.m. and involved a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck.

One person was briefly trapped inside a vehicle and required assistance to be freed. That person sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Georgia State Patrol managed traffic while recovery crews worked to remove wreckage.

Vehicles were diverted onto Highway 41, causing heavy congestion in Ringgold. The incident remains under investigation.
