Charlotte Co., FL – Injuries Sustained in Crash on I-75 S Near MM 150
Charlotte County, FL (April 12, 2025) – On the night of April 12, a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 75 south near Mile Marker 150 in Charlotte County left several people injured. According to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 9:15 p.m. and involved several vehicles. One of the vehicles was believed to have rear-ended another at high speed, triggering a chain reaction. Charlotte County EMS arrived quickly at the scene and rendered aid to the injured parties. Multiple individuals sustained moderate injuries and were transported to Bayfront Health Punta Gorda for further evaluation. Another person received minor treatment on-site and was released shortly afterward. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. FHP is currently reviewing dashcam footage and eyewitness statements to determine if distracted driving or impairment was involved.
