Charlotte Co, FL (March 3, 2025) – A serious multi-vehicle crash occurred on Sunday evening involving a semi-truck and two other cars on Interstate 75 in Charlotte County, leaving multiple individuals injured. The incident, reported by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), happened at approximately 7:41 p.m. on the southbound lanes of I-75, just before mile marker 156, between Punta Gorda and Fort Myers.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash involved a semi-truck and two passenger vehicles. The collision caused major traffic disruptions, with emergency crews quickly arriving at the scene to assist the injured. Authorities have confirmed that several individuals were hurt, and some required airlift transport to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment. However, FHP has not yet released specific details regarding the number of victims or the severity of their injuries.

By 8:35 p.m., one lane was reopened to allow southbound traffic to pass the scene, and by 9:45 p.m., all lanes were cleared and fully reopened.
