Charlotte County, FL – Car Crash with Injuries Reported on I-75 near MM 153

Charlotte County, FL (March 5, 2023) – On March 3, emergency crews responded to the scene of an automobile accident that took place in Charlotte County and ended in injuries.

Calls for assistance came to the Florida Highway Patrol at approximately 825 p.m.

According to officials, a vehicle collision blocked the southbound side of Interstate 75. The incident prompted the Florida Highway Patrol in firefighters to close off multiple southbound lanes near mile marker 153.

The accident, which was in the left lane of travel, caused significant delays in the area as emergency crews worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris.

At least one person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
