Chattanooga, TN – Injuries Reported in Auto Accident on I-75 near Ooltewah Exit

Chattanooga, TN (January 28, 2023) – A traffic accident took place in the Chattanooga area on Thursday evening that ended in injuries while causing major delays in traffic. On January 26, the Tennessee Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a traffic crash on Interstate 75.

Preliminary reports provided by the Tennessee Department of Transportation show that a crash blocked the northbound side of the interstate near the exit for Ooltewah at around 7:20 p.m. The incident caused extensive delays in traffic as emergency crews worked to clear the road.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the traffic accident to provide assistance. EMS provided care to the injured victims and transported them to area hospitals.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
