Chattanooga, TN (April 29, 2025) – A two-car crash injury occurred on April 29 on the northbound off-ramp of Interstate 75 at Exit 9 to Volkswagen Drive (Apison Pike), causing partial blockage of the ramp and disrupting traffic in the area. The crash was reported shortly before 9:15 a.m. by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
According to initial reports, two vehicles collided as they attempted to merge onto Volkswagen Dr from the I-75 NB off-ramp. The impact caused one vehicle to partially block the exit lane, while the other sustained moderate front-end damage. Emergency personnel, including Hamilton County deputies, Chattanooga Fire Department crews, and EMS, responded to the scene promptly.
At least one person sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment. Firefighters worked to stabilize the vehicles and prevent fluid leaks, while law enforcement directed traffic around the partially blocked ramp.
Tow trucks were later called in to remove the damaged vehicles, and the exit ramp was cleared and fully reopened a short time later. The crash remains under investigation, and no citations have been announced as of this time.
