Chattanooga, TN – Two-Car Injury Crash on I-75 NB Near Ringgold Rd

Chattanooga, TN (April 9, 2025) – A two-car injury crash occurred Wednesday evening on I-75 northbound, just past the Ringgold Rd exit in Chattanooga. The collision took place around 6:27 p.m. ET and resulted in emergency response from multiple agencies, including the Chattanooga Fire Department, EMS, and Tennessee Highway Patrol.

According to initial reports from authorities, two vehicles were involved in the crash under circumstances that remain under investigation. Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene and found at least one individual injured. The injured party was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The condition of the injured individual has not yet been publicly disclosed.

Due to the severity of the impact, firefighters assisted in extracting occupants from one of the vehicles, which sustained significant damage. Traffic in the area was heavily impacted, with lanes temporarily reduced to allow crews to clear debris and ensure the roadway was safe for drivers. The crash scene was cleared and traffic fully restored by approximately 7:25 p.m.

Tennessee Highway Patrol is leading the investigation into the cause of the crash. No citations or charges have been announced at this time.
