Cincinnati, OH – 19-Year-Old Seriously Injured in Crash with Semi on I-75 NB

Cincinnati, OH (October 9, 2025) – A 19-year-old man was hospitalised with serious injuries on Tuesday morning, October 7, after a collision involving a semi-truck on Interstate 75 northbound near Cincinnati.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 10:45 a.m. when a Chevrolet Suburban and a semi-truck were both travelling north on I-75. Investigators said the Suburban changed into the centre lane and struck the rear of the semi. The impact caused severe damage, trapping the driver inside his vehicle.

Firefighters extricated the 19-year-old driver, who was then transported to UC Medical Centre with serious injuries. The semi-truck driver was not hurt in the crash.

Traffic was slowed for several hours as emergency crews worked to clear the scene and gather evidence.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Cincinnati Post continues to investigate what caused the collision.
