Cincinnati, OH – Injuries After Vehicles Collide at I-75/I-74
Cincinnati, OH (May 15, 2025) – Sunday travel through Camp Washington came to an abrupt halt when several vehicles crashed at the northbound merge of Interstate 75 and Interstate 74 West, a knot of lanes just east of the Spring Grove Avenue exit.
Cincinnati Fire and Emergency Medical Services rushed to the scene shortly after the first 9-1-1 calls and found multiple passenger vehicles tangled across the interchange lanes. Medics assessed the occupants at the roadside and transported at least one person to a nearby hospital; officials confirmed the injuries are not life-threatening.
Temporary lane closures on both Interstate 75 North and the connecting ramps to Interstate 74 West caused heavy delays while wreckers cleared debris and troopers inspected the pavement. All lanes reopened later in the day once crews finished sweeping the roadway and checking guardrails.
Investigators from the Ohio State Highway Patrol are reviewing dash-camera footage and witness statements to decide whether speed, distraction, or an unsafe lane change sparked the chain reaction. No citations have been issued, and the names of the drivers have not yet been released.
We hope those hurt in this crash make a swift and full recovery.
