Clayton Co, GA – I-75 NB to I-285 WB Ramp Crash with Injuries
Clayton Co, GA (May 5, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash with injuries occurred late Monday afternoon, May 5, on the northbound Interstate 75 ramp to westbound I-285 (Inner Loop), causing significant delays through the Forest Park area. The crash took place around 4:20 p.m., blocking the right lane of the ramp and disrupting traffic flow during the afternoon commute.
Emergency responders from Clayton County Fire and EMS arrived on the scene shortly after the crash. At least one individual sustained injuries and received medical treatment at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The extent of the injuries has not yet been made public, but they are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Traffic quickly backed up in the area, with delays extending from the Forest Park corridor as authorities worked to control the scene. Georgia State Patrol responded to investigate the cause of the collision, while police directed vehicles through the remaining open lane.
Firefighters and cleanup crews worked to clear debris and vehicle fluids, and a tow truck was required to remove one of the damaged vehicles from the ramp. The right lane remained blocked for a period as crews completed the response and investigation.
