Clayton Co, GA – Injury Crash on I-75 S Before Central Ave

Clayton Co, GA (May 8, 2025) – A two-vehicle injury crash occurred early Thursday morning on I-75 southbound just before Central Ave (Exit 239.5), leading to blocked lanes and a multi-agency emergency response effort in Clayton County.

According to traffic officials and local sources, the crash happened shortly before 6:00 a.m. in the two right lanes. The vehicles involved sustained moderate to heavy damage, and emergency services were dispatched immediately to secure the scene. Drivers were advised to use caution as delays quickly built up along the corridor.

Responding units included Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services, EMS, and Georgia State Patrol. One person reportedly sustained injuries and was treated at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The injured individual was reportedly alert and conscious during transport.
