Clayton Co, GA – One Injured in Crash on I-75 SB at Tara Blvd
Clayton Co, GA (May 12, 2025) – A crash with injuries occurred late Monday morning on I-75 Southbound in Clayton County, resulting in traffic delays and a significant emergency response. The collision happened at approximately 11:45 a.m. in the right lane near the interchange with Tara Boulevard, an area known for heavy traffic during midday hours.
According to initial reports, the crash involved two vehicles, one of which sustained visible front-end damage. Witnesses noted that the impact appeared moderate, but enough to prompt concerns for the occupants’ safety. Emergency responders from Clayton County Fire & EMS arrived on the scene shortly after the crash was reported. They provided immediate assistance to those involved and assessed injuries.
At least one person was hurt in the collision, suffering from symptoms consistent with whiplash, including neck and shoulder pain. Paramedics treated the injured individual at the scene before transporting them to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. Their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Georgia State Patrol troopers managed the scene, blocking off the affected lane and diverting traffic while the vehicles were cleared. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
