Clayton County, GA – Four Killed, Including Siblings and Dog, in Fiery I-75 Crash near Exit to I-285

Clayton County, GA (July 28, 2023) – A speeding car collided with another vehicle, resulting in a fiery crash that claimed the lives of four people and a dog on Friday, July 29th, on I -75 in Clayton County.

The incident occurred just after 1 a.m. near I-75’s exit to I-285 eastbound. The speeding car clipped the other vehicle, causing it to flip, hit a tree, and catch fire, turning the scene into one of the worst wrecks witnessed in years, according to responding officers.

Investigations have revealed that the victims in the speeding car were three siblings aged 12, 18, and 21. The identity of the fourth victim, a female, is yet to be confirmed by officials.

Miraculously, the driver of the other vehicle survived the collision and was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. However, the reason behind the excessive speed of the car that caused the accident remains a mystery.

Julia Isaac, a community liaison for the Clayton County Police, stated that multiple witnesses confirmed the car was traveling over 100 miles per hour, but there was no indication of racing involved.

As the investigations continue, our hearts go out to the families of the victims who lost their lives in this tragic accident, and we hope the injured victim makes a swift recovery.
