Cobb Co, GA – One Hurt in I-75 NB Collision Near Exit 261 in Marietta

Cobb Co, GA (April 24, 2025) – A crash injury occurred early Thursday evening on I-75 northbound at Delk Dr (Exit 261), blocking the second left lane and causing significant delays stretching back to I-285.

The crash was reported at approximately 6:12 p.m., just as evening traffic intensified through Marietta. The incident caused backups in the northbound lanes of I-75, with congestion extending for several miles as first responders arrived.

Cobb County Police, along with fire rescue teams and EMS personnel, responded promptly. At least one person sustained injuries in the collision. Paramedics treated the victim on-site before transporting them to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The identity of the injured individual has not been released, and the extent of their injuries remains undisclosed at this time.
