Cobb Co, GA – One Injured in Crash on I-75 SB Past Delk Rd
Cobb Co, GA (April 30, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash injury occurred Wednesday morning in Cobb County on the southbound lanes of I-75 just past Delk Rd. The collision took place around 9:50 a.m. and led to the partial blockage of the left lane, causing heavy traffic delays through the area.
According to reports from the Georgia State Patrol and local traffic officials, two passenger vehicles collided in moderate traffic conditions. The impact forced one of the vehicles into the center divider while the other remained partially blocking the left lane. Both vehicles sustained front-end damage.
Emergency medical services responded swiftly to the scene. A 33-year-old male driver was treated on site for a laceration to his forehead and later transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for further evaluation. The second driver, a 41-year-old woman, reported back pain but declined hospital transport after evaluation by paramedics.
Fire crews provided assistance with vehicle stabilization and fluid cleanup, while Georgia State Patrol investigated the cause of the crash. Traffic remained congested for more than an hour while the scene was cleared and lanes reopened.
