Cobb County, GA – Accident with Injuries Reported on I-75 near Canton Highway

Cobb County, GA (February 4, 2023) – A traffic accident reportedly occurred in Cobb County during the morning hours on Friday that resulted in injuries.

On February 3, troopers with the Georgia Highway Patrol responded to a crash on Interstate 75.

Reports provided by the Georgia Department of Transportation indicate that just before 8 a.m., a traffic crash blocked the left lanes of southbound Interstate 75.

Georgia Highway Patrol and firefighters responded to the scene of the crash and blocked off the roadway just before the exit for Canton Highway.

Emergency officials worked to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene and to allow traffic through the area.

Paramedics were dispatched to the site of the accident to care for the injured victims and to provide those who required further medical care with transportation to local hospitals.

The Georgia Highway Patrol is actively investigating the crash at this time.
