Collier Co., FL – Fatal Crash on I-75’s Alligator Alley Leaves One Dead

Collier County, FL (March 22, 2025) – A deadly collision on I-75’s Alligator Alley early Saturday morning, March 22, resulted in the tragic loss of one life. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 6:45 a.m. near mile marker 73 when a Kia Soul traveling along the highway struck the rear of a Tesla. The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles and led to immediate response efforts from emergency personnel. Tragically, the driver of the Kia, identified as a 44-year-old man from Miami, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Tesla’s occupants, whose identities have not been released, were evaluated by paramedics, but no serious injuries were reported. Authorities shut down portions of the highway to investigate the incident and clear the wreckage. Investigators are working to determine the factors that led to the collision.
