Collier County, FL – Multi-Vehicle Wreck with Injuries Reported on I-75 near MM 86

Collier County, FL (February 5, 2023) – An automobile accident took place in Collier County on Saturday evening that ended in injuries.

On February 4, the Florida Highway Patrol was notified that a crash had taken place on Interstate 75.

At approximately 5:10 p.m., a traffic accident involving multiple vehicles blocked the northbound side of the interstate. The incident closed off the right lane of travel near mile marker 86.

Florida Highway Patrol in local firefighters responded to the scene of the accident to provide assistance. Emergency crews remained at the scene for more than an hour as they worked to clear the road.

At least one person suffered injuries in the accident and had to be transported to a local hospital for medical care.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol.
