Collier County, FL – Workers Injured in Car Crash on I-75 near MM 112

Collier County, FL (February 16, 2023) – Two workers were left injured as a result of an auto accident that occurred in Collier County on Saturday morning, February 11.

At around 10:00 a.m., a group of contractors was working to clear garbage from the side of the interstate.

As two of the contractors were attempting to cross Interstate 75 in a four-by-four utility vehicle, they were struck by a van near mile marker 112.

The incident prompted officials to close off the roadway extensively.

Both workers were hurt in the accident and had to be transported to a local hospital for emergency care.

The crash remains under investigation.
