Columbia Co., FL – Two Killed in Semi-Truck Collision on I-75

Columbia County, FL (August 16, 2025) – A crash on Interstate 75 in Columbia County claimed the lives of two people on Friday morning, August 15. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the victims’ vehicle collided with a semi-truck, resulting in fatal injuries. Both vehicles sustained severe damage, and troopers confirmed that the victims died at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck remained at the site and cooperated fully with investigators. Emergency crews closed several lanes while they worked to remove debris and assess the crash scene. Authorities have not yet released the names of the deceased pending notification of family members. FHP continues to investigate what caused the two vehicles to collide.
