Columbia County, FL – FHP Responds to Injury Crash on I-75 near MM 417
Columbia County, FL (January 25, 2023) – The Florida Highway Patrol in firefighters out of Columbia County responded to provide assistance at the scene of a crash that had taken place on Tuesday afternoon that resulted in injuries.
The accident was reported at 1:10 p.m. on January 24 by the Florida Department of Transportation.
According to reports provided by Florida Highway Patrol, a traffic collision occurred on the northbound side of Interstate 75. The incident blocked the right lane of travel just before mile marker 417 on the roadway.
The incident prompted officials to block off a significant portion of the road as they worked to clear the area.
Paramedics were called to care for victims who suffered injuries due to the traffic crash. At least one of the parties involved in the accident was transported to a local hospital for further medical attention.
The circumstances surrounding the traffic collision are being investigated by Florida Highway Patrol at this time.
