Covington, KY – Driver Injured in Car Crash on I-75 NB Before Brent Spence Brg

Covington, KY (May 5, 2025) – A two-car crash injury occurred in the early morning hours of May 5 on northbound Interstate 75 just before the Brent Spence Bridge and the Ohio River crossing. The collision, which happened at approximately 2:45 a.m., caused significant disruption and led to a full closure of the northbound lanes for several hours.

Initial reports from authorities indicate that two vehicles collided under unknown circumstances while traveling northbound. One of the drivers suffered injuries and was promptly treated at the scene by emergency responders before being transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The nature of the injuries has not been officially disclosed, but sources describe them as non-life-threatening at this time. The other driver was evaluated at the scene and did not require transport.

The Covington Fire Department, EMS, and police units responded immediately. Firefighters worked to extract the vehicles safely and contain any hazards.
