Crescent Springs, KY – Multi-Car Crash on I-71/75 NB Near MM 186
Crescent Springs, KY (April 9, 2025) – A crash with reported injuries caused lane closures and traffic disruption Wednesday afternoon on I-71/75 northbound in Kenton County. The collision occurred near mile marker 186.0, in the area of Buttermilk Pike, and was first reported shortly after 4:00 p.m.
According to the Kentucky State Police and local emergency services, the crash involved at least two vehicles and led to the closure of the right lane and right shoulder while first responders worked the scene. Medical personnel treated at least one injured individual at the site before transporting them to a nearby hospital. The full extent of the injuries remains unknown, but they were described as non-life-threatening.
Crews from the Crescent Springs Fire Department and EMS were on the scene alongside law enforcement, coordinating vehicle removal and providing traffic control. The blocked lane and shoulder caused delays during the late afternoon commute, with drivers advised to seek alternate routes or expect slower travel times through the area.
By late afternoon, responders had managed to clear the affected portion of the highway and restore normal traffic flow. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
Our thoughts are with the injured parties, and we wish them a swift and complete recovery.
