Cumberland, GA – Accident with Injuries Reported on Larry McDonald Memorial Highway (I-75) near I-285
Cumberland, GA (February 2, 2023) – Authorities out of Cumberland were called to provide assistance at the scene of a traffic crash that took place on Wednesday morning and left at least one person injured.
On February 1, calls for help were received by the Georgia Highway Patrol regarding a car accident on Interstate 75.
According to law enforcement, at around 6:20 a.m., a vehicle collision blocked the southbound side of the interstate. The incident caused delays near Interstate 285 East at Exit 259A.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and blocked off multiple lanes on the Larry McDonald Memorial Highway as they worked to clear the scene.
At least one person suffered injuries due to the crash and had to be transported to an area hospital by ambulance.
The circumstances surrounding the traffic accident are currently being investigated.
